ARTIST’S STATEMENT - The colors of artist Jahn Mo
Born in the picturesque area of Lofoten Islands, Norway, where the sea meets the mountains. Known for his contemporary abstract paintings, Jahn found inspiration in the breathtaking landscapes surrounding him. The deep blues of the ocean, the rugged mountains, and the ever-changing weather painted a backdrop for his creative journey.
Jahn's working space was a spacious room filled with shifting weather, where the scent of paint mingled with the fresh sea air. His canvases, large and bold, reflected the vibrant hues of the Norwegian landscape. Brushstroke is a connection to nature, capturing the essence of the sea, mountains, fjords and the rhythm of crashing waves.
However, Jahn's artistic journey was not limited to Norway alone. His long-standing fascination with Africa, Japan, Europe, and the USA enriched his perspective.
